You Are Not the Victim

The belief that genes control your body makes you powerless. Even though Epigenetics has more than proven its point, the dogma of biology continues to rule modern medicine. As the victim of your genes, you are in desperate need of the chemical solutions provided by the pharmaceutical companies. It becomes vital for them to perpetuate this belief so as to render you impotent.

But it is our mind that controls the signals in our cells. While the code might be there, it is our perceptions that determine the activity of the genes and how they are read. What you believe creates your reality. Change your beliefs, change your life – rewrite the genetic code.

As the mind perceives the environment and notifies the pituitary gland (master gland), it in turn signals the cells. Perceptions usually come from our instinctual programming as well as our learned behaviors. On average ninety five percent of the time we operate from our sub-conscious mind. What we experience triggers memories and these in turn translate into emotions and reactions. But we can choose to step into a mindful creative mode as well. Here we consciously decide how we experience a situation and the resulting emotions we release into the world. Since each e-motion (energy in motion) carries a vibration which converts into a chemical process in the body, changing the vibration and rebalancing the body removes the signal that causes the disease.

As we begin to understand the ramifications of an energetic universe, we open up a whole new world of knowledge. Not only do we learn how to cure ourselves but we also understand how to create the reality that we desire.

Paradise, Garden of Eden or Shan-gri-la are synonymous of a state of balance we hold within ourselves. This state is the connection to Source, the alignment with the energetic frequency of our true self.  Unfortunately our reptilian mind which perceives everything as a threat to our survival keeps us separate from this place of well being. By evoking emotions driven by our instincts, the sub-conscious mind creates a state of resistance instead. Here we cannot connect to Source and end up in perpetual imbalance.

To aggravate things our Pineal gland which produces the neurotransmitters Melatonin and Serotonin cannot function properly in this state. Melatonin slows down brain waves and is the main hormone that helps our body rest and reset during deep sleep. Serotonin brings brain waves back into a high Beta state creating a healthy connection with the outside world. Disturbances to this system cause us to become ill. Diseases manifest almost instantly but we aren’t aware of them until they begin to affect our body. This might take many years of accumulated stress, contained anger and other kinds of suffering. Inevitably, at some point, physical problems will manifest. At that point you can choose to believe it is the consequence of having that probem – diabetes, cancer or another ailment – in your genetic make-up or, you can take matters into your own hands and change the way you react to life.

As the living, pulsating field of energy we co-create our experiences as families, communities, nations and the planet as a whole. But it is our individual perception of the experiences that creates our personal reality. Shifting between what many believe to be an infinite number of parallel universes each one with its own vibrational signature, we create our existence in this state of being. Only one law transcends all these realities – What you put in is what you get out…

Wake up!

Monika, a transplant from Poland and Brazil, has been practicing and studying yoga for over 20 years. She began her training in 1999 with Edely Wallace, (owner of Yoga Matrix Studio in Orlando, Florida) a yogi master, Yoga Alliance founder and author who studied in Belgium, Brazil and the US and who is at present working with lymphatic yoga research. She went on to study with Ariel Albani, a certified wellness and yoga facilitator and Reiki master. She furthered her studies while on a trip to India, practicing with different Eastern yogis and tapping into yoga as a complete path to wholeness. Monika continues to explore the infinite possibilities of wellness that yoga offers by becoming certified in Yoga Therapy at the Amrit Yoga Institute in 2015 and bringing elements of this therapy to her group yoga practice. In 2016 she was certified in the I Am method of Yoga Nidra and is weaving this technique of stilling the mind into her classes. Her Healing Yoga is a meditative flow of breath guided Asanas focused on quieting the mind and connecting with the Higher Self, in order to identify and target areas of imbalance. It is a gentle but mindful practice done with eyes closed so as to keep the focus within. Practitioners are encouraged to listen to their own bodies and to move with the breath, allowing a slow process of stretching and opening areas of holding in need of healing. Each inhale is mindfully guided to the area targeted by the specific asana. Every exhale is used to release tensions and toxins, balancing and healing spirit, mind and body.
